Wi-Fi¶
Only on gateway models with Wi-Fi hardware
This tab only appears on gateway models that have Wi-Fi hardware. If you don't see a Wi-Fi tab next to Ethernet on the Network page, your model doesn't have it — see Network → Overview.
Scanning for networks¶
Click Scan to search for nearby Wi-Fi networks. Results appear in a table with:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| SSID | Network name |
| Signal | Signal strength |
| Security | Security type |
| In use | Whether the gateway is currently connected to this network |
Connecting¶
Click Connect on a network's row. If it's a secured network, you'll be prompted for its passphrase before Cockpit attempts to join it.
Forgetting a saved network¶
- Under Forget saved network (SSID), enter the SSID of the saved network you want to remove.
- Click Forget.
- Confirm:
Forget saved Wi-Fi network '{ssid}'? This cannot be undone from here.
Forgetting a network the gateway is actively relying on for connectivity will disconnect it — make sure you have another way to reach the gateway first if it's your only connection.
